Removing an old treadmill (or other type of equipment) requires some considerable consideration: safety, care for the floor and walls, navigating stairs, and what to do with it once it’s in the truck?
This particular treadmill was donated to the community fitness center by a resident. Problem was, it didn’t work properly and was really not of a high enough quality to withstand the rigors of a gym.
The community asked me to remove it and I did so using my custom made treadmill dolly. It helped me safely and without any damage to the facility, navigate the treadmill down their flight of stairs and into my truck. Actually, I had to remove the door to get the treadmill out - that happens surprisingly often as treadmills are usually just a little bit too wide for a standard size door. Once in the truck, It is then strapped down tight using 2 sets of ratchet straps.
I recycle all old fitness equipment with our local metal scrapyards so that the good metal can be salvaged and repurposed.
